Liam spent the night with his cousins last night. Ann taught him this song this morning. I think it is his personal anthem. The video is really too dark to see well, but you get the gist. You will slightly see his face and pajamas running back and forth.

BIG NEWS

Last week Liam decided he 'was not a baby' anymore. That meant on Tuesday night he gave up his pacifier.  Like everything else with Liam, when the light switch flipped that was it. All pacifiers are now out of the house and he doesn't want them anymore.

The only hiccup in this plan is that we didn't think Liam was ever going to give them up. We had been preparing him for the 'Ningningfee' to come on his 4th birthday. He knew that when he was 4 he couldn't have his pacifiers anymore. The Ningningfee was going to bring him a great present but he had to pay with his pacifiers. He asked for a treehouse and that is what we were planning on.

Liam decided to give up his pacifiers when Tobias was away for work for a week. When he woke up Wednesday morning he was very confused that his tree house wasn't here. He then added that he wanted roller skates.

He has now accepted that Papi had to come home so we could call the Ningningfee together. The roller skates should arrive Thursday. The tree house is 2-3 weeks away. Below is a picture when it arrives and Tobias assembles it. :-)

First boat ride

Liam's reward for potty training was that he could go on Nanna's and Poppa's boat for the first time. Since he has essentially been accident free for 3 weeks we decided it was time to celebrate.

He loved being on the boat but kept telling Poppa to go faster. I think we may have a little thrill seeker!

He did catch a fish but it wasn't big enough to keep. Onkel Dodi still holds the family record for the biggest croaker. He was posing nicely for his picture until the fish jumped. He thought that was a little scary and funny.

Jailhouse Rock, Busch Gardens and BIG NEWS

Liam saw a video on Youtube about a month ago of a little boy dancing the jive. He loves this video, which he calls 'der kleiner Junge der tanzt.' (Click link to view Liam's inspiration http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4wt824D1Bqg)

Liam has been trying to learn 'Jailhouse Rock' and dance like the little boy ever since. I caught him the other night dancing. (His lips are blue from a Ring Pop and, yes, his shoes are on the wrong feet.)

Liam went to Busch Gardens for the first time yesterday. It was a great evening. Since he gets in free, we decided it's easier to go up in the evening when the park isn't as crowded and stay for a couple of hours instead of trying to do everything in one day. Liam LOVED the water park, trains, and rides.

And, finally, our BIG NEWS!!!! Liam is potty trained. Like all other things, when he finally decided he was ready it didn't even take a week. The trick? I finally just told him I was sending him to school in 'big boy underwear'. We did that two weeks ago and had two accidents in the first 3 days and that was it. He tells us when he has to go and we have had no accidents on 10 days. He even stayed dry at Busch Gardens!!

We told Liam when he was potty trained he could ride on Nanna's and Poppa's boat (because the boat is not for babies.) Here is Liam getting ready!!

Sweatband man

Liam was playing at Nanna's and Poppa's last week and Poppa let him wear a sweatband. That became the new accessory for Liam last week.

When Liam learned that Mami and Papi didn't have sweatbands, he improvised.

Friday ice cream

Liam has heard GG talk about her Friday ice cream. About 2 months ago he woke up on a Friday and said, 'I want Friday ice cream. From then on we have used Friday ice cream as a reward for a good week at play school.
